A quick reminder as we begin our nutrition program. We classify carbohydrates in 2 categories : veggies and starches. Veggies are anything that grows above the ground that is not a grain or hard shell squash. Starches are everything that is a grain or grows below ground. Protein needs to have more protein than fat, ie be lean, and from sustainable sources. Fats are your friend as long as they are not vegetable based, hydrogenated or over cooked. At CrossFit Woodslawn we have a nutrition program that begins with education of how and why to eat what we suggest.
